Chat conduct

Everything you type is checked automatically: public chat, private messages (/msg) and signs. This page explains what is blocked and what happens if you trigger it.

What is blocked

CategoryExamples
Racial slurs and hate speechAny slur, including spelling tricks such as extra letters, symbols or spaces
HarassmentTargeted insults and threats
Sexual contentSexual language and sexual violence
Inappropriate contentProfanity
AdvertisingOther servers' addresses, links and invites
SpamRepeated messages, flooding and excessive capital letters

Trying to get around the filter, for example by splitting a word across messages or replacing letters, counts as the same offence.

What happens

  • A blocked message is not shown to anyone else.
  • Serious categories (slurs, hate speech, sexual violence) trigger an automatic mute, which can be long. Lesser ones get a shorter mute or a warning.
  • Staff are alerted and can review the case.

If you were muted by mistake

Contact staff on Discord with the time of the mute and what you typed. Staff can see the filter log for the case and lift the mute if it was a false positive.
